This type of massage focuses on the deeper tissue layers of the body to resolve both chronic and acute pain problems deep within one's structure.
This approach is used to increase blood flow and to release trigger points (intense ‘knots’ of muscle tension that refer pain to other areas of the body.)
Swedish techniques are also incorporated and every massage is tailored to meet the needs of the individual. Deep tissue massage can result in soreness for a day or two following the massage, but this work is highly recommended to rehabilitate any injury or to alleviate chronic pain.
